Smart Grid
A smart grid is an electricity network enabling a two-way flow of electricity and data with digital communications technology enabling to detect, react and pro-act to changes in usage and multiple issues.
An important goal of Smart Grid Technology (SGT) is to leverage modern information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure to help monitor and control the power system more effectively. This transforms conventional power system networks into smart energy grids that will be responsible for intelligent management, operation, and control of energy flow. Accordingly, there has been a growing demand for innovations in various domains of the SGT. The objective of the pre-incubation fellowship scheme is to attract talents, who can build intelligent devices and solutions for the future smart grid network.
